Aachen, Germany – July 16, 2016 – The United States took home the silver medal behind only the hosting German team at the Aachen Nations Cup CDIO5*. The team faced extra pressure after Katherine Bateson-Chandler withdrew her mount Alcazar due to colic. As a three-person team without a drop score to count on, the riders had to deliver against stiff competition.
Steffen Peters led the U.S. dressage team with a score of 76.627 percent and he earned an impressive 9.5 for his piaffe on Four Wind Farm’s Legolas 92. He placed fourth individually. Tuny Page and Woodstock delivered a lovely test to score a 71.451 percent. Shelly Francis and Doktor headed down centerline to receive a 70.647 percent.
