St. Gallen, Switzerland – June 5, 2016 – Lucy Davis (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Old Oak Farm’s Barron rode to a double-clear finish in the Longines Grand Prix der Schweiz at CSIO5* St. Gallen on Sunday, June 5.
Davis and the 2004 Belgian Warmblood gelding produced faultless efforts throughout the two-round show jumping competition tripping the timers in 47.53 seconds, just 3/10ths of a second behind Hans-Dieter Dreher and Cool and Easy in 47.29 seconds to take second place honors.
Davis’ second place finish on Sunday demonstrated her consistency on the international stage as she continues her quest to be apart of the U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Team at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The 23-year-old show jumper is just coming off of an eighth place finish with Barron in the Grand Prix Longines – Ville de La Baule at CSIO5* La Baule as well as helping Team USA secure two second place finishes in the La Baule and St. Gallen Nations Cups along with teammates Margie Engle, Lauren Hough and Todd Minikus.
