Aachen, Germany – July 16, 2016 – The U.S. Eventing Team placed sixth overall during CIC3* at CHIO Aachen. Hannah Sue Burnett was the highest placed U.S. athlete with Jacqueline B. Mars’ Harbour Pilot. The pair started the weekend with 45.60 penalties after the dressage phase. They had one rail during the stadium jumping phase and added six penalties during cross country to finish on 55.60 penalties.
Phillip Dutton and Indian Mill, owned by David Garrett, finished on 61.90 penalties to finish 17th. Lauren Keiffer and Landmark’s Monte Carlo, owned by Jacqueline B. Mars, had a strong start, but an issue during the cross country phase proved costly as they finished on 87.70 penalties to place 25th. Matthew Brown and Super Socks BCF, owned by the Blossom Creek Foundation, rounded out the U.S. contingent with a score of 103 penalties after a stop and time faults during the cross country phase.
