The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team wins Silver in the Nations’ Cup at CDIO5* Aachen!

Aachen, Germany – July 21, 2018 – Riders returned to the arena on Saturday, July 21, in Aachen, Germany to continue their battle for the top podium placing in the CDIO5* Nations Cup. Despite solid performances by The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team and their strong start in the Grand Prix on Thursday, the German dressage team overtook the U.S. team’s opening day lead to win the gold with a total score of 464.202. The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team took home the silver with a final score of 459.371.

Team rider Kasey Perry-Glass was the highest scoring U.S. rider of the day, earning a score of 78.787 percent in her Grand Prix Special test aboard the 15-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding Goerklintgaards Dublet. The pair received high marks for their passage and one-tempi changes, helping them secure a third-place finish individually.

Adrienne Lyle and Salvino, an 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion, completed their test with a score of 74.511 percent, while U.S. anchor rider Laura Graves, aboard her 16-year-old KWPN gelding Verdades, earned a score of 74.085 percent. Though Graves topped the leaderboard in the Grand Prix, the pair fell to 11th place after experiencing bobbles throughout their test in the extended trot, two-tempi changes and passage-extended trot-passage transitions. Steffen Peters and Rosamunde, an 11-year-old Rhinelander mare, scored 72.362 percent in their Grand Prix Special.
