Callan Solem

Hometown: Glenmoore, Pennsylvania
Discipline: Show Jumping

Callan Solem is a leading grand prix show jumper. She has ridden on six Nations Cup teams, competing in Xalapa, Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rotterdam, The Neterlands, Lummen, Belgium, Falsterbo, Sweden, and Mannheim, Germany. In 2005, she was part of the winning Super League Team. During her time abroad, Solem won the Derby qualifier in Falsterbo, Sweden and took home top ribbons in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Lummen, Belgium. In 2015, she helped earn the Team Gold medal in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup at CSIO4* Coapexpan.

From 1997 to 2010, Solem was the professional rider for former Olympian Carol Thompson at Quiet Winter Farm, in Colt’s Neck, N.J. Solem originally joined Thompson as a junior student competing in equitation before Thompson offered her a full-time position as a professional rider. In April 2010, Solem opened Callan Solem Show Stables with equestrians Virginia and Collin McNeil of Chester Springs, Pa. The hunter/jumper/equitation operation is based at the McNeils’ 92-acre Upland Farm.
