Lisa Stroud

Hometown: West Grove, Pennsylvania

Allison “Lisa” Stroud has been competing in combined driving for many years and has represented the U.S. on numerous occasions at FEI Pony World Driving Championships. She was part of the 2003 team that finished sixth in Austria, the 2005 team that placed fifth in Great Britain, and the 2007 Bronze medal-winning team in Poland.

Stroud has won multiple USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Championships, claiming her first title in 2004 then again in 2006 and 2007.

In 2008, Stroud won the FEI Pony Team division at the Live Oak International CAI. She then finished second in at the Garden State CDE with her team. She finished out the season by defending her USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Championship title at The Laurels at Landhope.

Stroud had a banner year in 2009, winning at almost every turn. She began the year with wins in the FEI Pony Team divisions at Sunshine State and Live Oak. Stroud collected another win at the Southern Pines CDE in the Advanced Pony Team division. She next traveled to Greven, Germany, to represent the U.S. at the FEI Pony World Driving Championships, helping the team to a fourth-place finish. Upon returning to the states, Stroud had two more winning efforts at The Laurels at Landhope CDE and the Kentucky Cup and Lexington Driving Classic, claiming another USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Championship title.

She had another stellar year in 2010 with her team of ponies. Stroud won the FEI Pony Team divisions at Sunshine State and the Live Oak. For the Iron Horse CDE, she entered the Advanced Pair Pony division and came out on top yet again. Stroud finished out the season with another win, this time in the Advanced Pony Team division at The Laurels at Landhope.

In 2011, Stroud began the year by winning USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Championship at Live Oak. She then had a win at the Southern Pines CDE in the Advanced Pony Team division. In September, Stroud traveled to Europe to compete and finished ninth in the Breda CAIP-A4 in The Netherlands. In Lipica, Slovenia, she was a member of the U.S. team FEI Pony World Driving Championships, receiving a Team Bronze medal and finishing sixth individually.

Stroud continued to dominate the Advanced Pony Team division in 2012. She claimed top honors at Live Oak and had another winning effort at Glen Willow. At the Kentucky Classic CDE, Stroud won the USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Championship, yet again.

In 2013, Stroud won the FEI Pony Team division at both Little Everglades and Live Oak. She then was named USEF National Combined Driving Pony Team Champion for the ninth time at the Southern Pines CDE. She continued her winning ways at Glen Willow and Kentucky Classic in the Advanced Pony Team divisions.

In 2014, Stroud took up a new challenge as she turned from a Pony Team to a Four-in-Hand Horse Team as she looked to represent the U.S. at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. In order to achieve her goal, she has been driving a team in Europe contesting CAI3* competition at Horst, Windsor, and Lähden, as well as the CAIO4* Saumur.
